Research information:

My postdoctoral research is focused on the neural mechanisms underlying inter-individual differences in reading and working memory abilities. I am interested in linking genes, brain and behavior in order to understand the neural bases for inter-individual differences in cognitive ability.

I have completed a BA in Physics and an MSc in Medical Physics at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. My master’s thesis was in the field of diffusion tensor imaging and focused on white matter tractography algorithms.

In 2010, I joined Klingberg lab for my PhD. My doctoral research focused on the developmental neuroimaging studies to find the associations between genes, brain and behavior. I gained experience in longitudinal analyses of multimodal neuroimaging techniques such as structural, functional and diffusion tensor MRI. My main research interest was to find the white matter pathways and the structural connectivity relating to the reading and working memory functional network.
